Opinion: Now is the time to get back into Warcraft

With the release of the latest expansion pack, Cataclysm, this is probably the best time for lapsed Warcraft players to come back to the world of Azeroth. Also, those that have never tried Warcraft before will find an experience that is nothing like it used to be. Leveling a new character has become far more fun that it was before with the questing experience given an overhaul by removing much of the tedium and giving an epic experience with some truly unique quest lines. Review: H.A.W.X 2 – Highway to the boredom zone

Flying around in a fighter jet firing missiles at “boggies” and thwarting terrorism at every turn is supposed to be epic. It’s something that you pretty much expect a game to be able to do with its hands tied behind its back but there is something so very wrong about how HAWX 2 tries to turn this fairly simple premise into something broader. In doing so, it loses focus on what makes a flight game fun. It seems that the developers couldn’t decide if it they wanted to make an arcade game or a flight simulator and tried to find a balance between the two which isn’t particularly satisfying. Opinion: The Scott Pilgrim Hype (with bonus 8-bit review!!)

There have been plenty of reviews out there that have both praised Scott Pilgrim as the next coming of Christ and denounced him as hipster bullshit; and, depending on who you are, both are correct to a degree. The comic series, the film and now the game are all targeted toward a very specific demographic and if you aren’t a part of that, looking at it from the outside, you simply won’t get it. News: Blizzard fights back against forum trolls

Since the birth of the internet, there has been a blight steadily growing, spawned from the womb of anonymity and craving the delicious nectar of lolz. The common forum troll feeds on your tears and uses their incredibly insightful social observations to shake your self esteem to its foundations (or confuse you with drivel). This disease is one without a cure, something that we have to live with like an unfortunate case of forum herpes that starts as chatroom crotch itch and flares up when you least expect it while you innocently try to enjoy your favourite multiplayer games.
