Wednesday’s Weekly Wallpaper – Evolve

evolve-medic-sniperLater today we’ll be taking a closer look at Evolve, the asymmetrical four versus one multiplayer by Turtle Rock Studios. It is only fitting we give you a taste of what the game should offer and what its art department is pumping out to adorn your desktop.

This is a really unique gameplay concept by them dudes that brung you Left 4 Dead. You can either play one of four hunters, each with a specific skill-set, on the trail of a gargantuan behemoth. Or, you play the monster, trying to grow to its full potential and lay the smack down on these pesky little vermin trying to track you down. It’s a brilliant idea and one we’ll give you the skinny on in the next week, once embargo lifts. Until then the picture above paints a perfect picture of what you can expect.

I’m hooking you up with another double dose of wallpaper love as I really couldn’t decide which of the two I fancied more. I’m a fan of the flaming David versus Goliath shot, but the sheer bestiality of the shot above makes my desktop look wonderfully menacing. Which do you guys prefer?

Damn this game looks interesting, so keen to hear more about it.

We’ll be posting a preview and interview next week as well as talking about it on the podcast.

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this. Love the desktops too.

And even better is that I’ll actually be able to make it to the live show this week.

Hello front desk? Yes can i get a reminder call at 2.55pm for the show? Thanks.

  • adin75

I will have to try and catch the show, hard on Sundays with work though, so I can get some more info on this game. As it stands, all I see is a game with 4 people playing cat and mouse with a player controlled monster, and that really doesn’t interest me that much.

  • Kalisynth

sounds like the game is a mix of monster hunter and Aliens, which seems like a cool concept

  • Bagmup

Does the monster have stealth camo and does it make a cricket type sound to put the bejebus up the human players aka Predator style?
Also, I’ll be disappointed if one of the human character lines isn’t – If it bleeds, we can kill it…
