News: Call of Juarez redraws its six-shooter

Call-of-Juarez-Gunslinger-TrailerAfter Call of Juarez: The Cartel failed to bring the franchise into the modern era due to piss poor graphics and horrible AI, developer Techland returns back to its roots. Take that final shot of whiskey at high noon and get ready to draw as the series heads back to the Wild Wild West.

Skin that smoke-wagon and see what happens!

Skin that smoke-wagon and see what happens!

You can immediately tell that Techland is back in its comfort zone. The graphic look gorgeous, the setting is brilliant as you track down and go toe to toe with some of the rootinest, tootinest, baddest sonsabitches to ever hit the dusty trail. You’ll be throwing down with the likes of Pat Garrett, the infamous Billy the Kid and the outlaw Jesse James to but name a few. This is a definite return to form and I can’t wait to get back to the slow-mo shootouts the franchise is known for.

Get an eyefull of the trailer below ya varmints!

The older versions Call of Juarez and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood were buggy glorious messes to play through, but had potential. This is looking bad-arse if it is actual gameplay footage in the trailer.

Thats the worry isnt it, so many times we are offered whats called “game play footage” and its all cgi and shit and when it comes to finally getting hands on we end up with aliens colonial marienes…

I did enjoy Call of Juarez, never did play bound in blood. I reckon I might have to keep an eye on this one.
