Popcorn Taxi presents The Man with the Iron Fists

Sydneysiders, head on down to Event Cinemas at Bondi Junction Monday 3rd December for a once in a lifetime event. Popcorn Taxi is running a screening of The Man with the Iron Fists with an interview following the feature with writer/director The RZA himself.

The Man with the Iron Fists is a wildly over-the-top homage to Hong Kong cinema in the vein of such classics as Kung-fu Cult Master and the Shaw Brothers’ The 36 Chambers of Shaolin with a nods to Hip hop and a Blaxploitation spin. The Wu-Tang Clan frontman, The RZA, is well known for his love of Kung-fu movies and even provided the musical direction for the similarly toned Afro Samurai video game (embedded below).

At the helm of his first feature film, The RZA handled directing and acting duties and co-wrote the screenplay with Eli Roth (Hostel). The film is beautifully shot and a ridiculous amount of fun. Following the movie there will be an exclusive video interview (pre-recorded) with The RZA that is not to be missed.

Tickets are a measly $20 a pop direct from Popcorn Taxi here or on sale at the cinema on the night .

If you love balls to the wall action and kick-arse choreography be sure to go check it out tomorrow.
