rawDLC Special: Sleeping Dogs voice cast

rawdlc 1

After a recent chat over drinks, it appears not everyone is familiar with the powerhouse of acting talent of Sleeping Dogs getting ready to snap kick your eardrums. Luckily, we’re here to give you a breakdown on the vocal arsenal behind this kick-arse action game.

Tom adds a certain grounding to the game

For those that want to do some research, I have included some of the actors/actresses best roles, feel free to add your own in the comment fields below.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone may be every geeks dream catch, but the girl has also fought her way from background actress to top tier starlet in only a few years. She is funny, smart and entertaining to watch do anything. She is also super hot.

Character : Amanda Cartwright

Films to watch: The Amazing Spider-Man, Zombieland, The Help, Superbad, Crazy, Stupid Love.

Robin Shou

Though cast in supporting roles most of the time Robin Shou has been around since the 80s in any fighting role he could get his face or fists into. His shining moment was as Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat films.

Character : Conroy Wu

Films to watch: Hard to Kill, Mortal Kombat, Beverly Hills Ninja

Irene Tsu

Mrs Tsu is an industry veteran. Starting her career around the 60s she has worked along side John Wayne, James Stuart, Doris Day and even Elvis Presley. Going on 70 she is still acting regularly even now.

Character: Mrs. Chu

Films to watch : Flower Drum Song, 7 Women, Star Trek: Voyager (TV)

Terence Yin

Mostly unknown over here, Terence Yin has got over 30 films under his belt. He has popped up in a few times in Jackie Chan films most notably, New Police Story.

Character : Ming

Films to watch:- New Police Story, Colour of the Truth, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life

James Hong

Look at that face. Just drink it in. Even if the name doesn’t ring a bell, the voice should. He’s been involved in arguably some the best movies and TV shows around. Over 350 roles is his legacy. This man is a true acting god.

Character : Uncle Po

Films to watch: Blade Runner, Kung Fu Panda, The Art of War, Every TV show in the 90s

Lucy Liu

Over 40 years old and still a complete fox, Lucy Liu has captured the bad arse sexy look and written her signature on it. For a change of pace check her out in the fourth season of Southland as a tough L.A. cop.

Character : Vivienne Lu

Films to watch : Lucky Number Slevin, Afro Samurai: Resurrection, Kill Bill: Vol. 1, The Man with the Iron Fists (Coming Soon)

Similar to James Wong, Tzi-Ma has spent most of the Nineties bouncing around the US TV circuit. Versatile and dependable he has a strong CV with performances in shows like 24, NYPD Blue and the criminally underrated Martial Law.

Character : Henry Lee

Films to watch : Rush Hour, The Ladykillers, Robocop 2, Dante’s Peak

Kelly Hu

Kelly Hu is sex on legs. She tends to play the arse kicking eye candy and when you’re on to a good thing, why wreck it. For those that don’t recognise her, she played Lady Deathstrike in X2 and starred opposite The Rock in The Scorpion King.

Character : Jane Teng

Films to watch : Martial Law, X2, Cradle 2 the Grave, The Scorpion King

James Lew

Once a US Karate Weapons division champion, he has tangled with everyone from Jet Li to the late great David Carradine. He has an exceptional knowledge of fighting techniques both in front of the camera and is renowned for his choreography behind the camera.

Character : Sifu Kwok

Films to watch : Big Trouble in Little China, Replacement Killers, Lethal Weapon 4

Edison Chen

Pretty boy Edison Chen has had a mixed past. Try to think of him as Hong Kong’s version Justin Timberlake and you’re on the right track. Singer/Actor/Model, Edison has slowly crossed over into Hollywood with films such as The Dark Knight and The Grudge 2.

Character :  Jackie Ma

Films to watch : The Dark Knight, The Grudge 2, Infernal Affairs 1,2&3

Tom Wilkinson

The term ‘character actor’ is defined by people like Tom Wilkinson. His acting career is littered with fan favourites and under-appreciated gems. Like Bill Nighy he has managed to maintain his English sensibilities while dipping into the geek world from time to time.

Character : Thomas Pendrew

Films to watch : The Debt, 44 Inch Chest, Micheal Clayton, The Conspirator

Will Yun Lee

Up and comer Will Yun Lee has a bright future ahead of him if he can find some meatier roles. Known for the most forgettable of films his highlights (or lowlights) include Elektra and The King of Fighters. However with a resume boasting pending releases such as The Wolverine film and Total Recall, he’s one to watch.

Character : Wei Shen

Films to watch : Die Another Day, Elektra, Torque, Witchblade (TV)
