Video: The Witcher 2 360 trailer is shatteringly cool

You’ve gotta give a helluva lot of respect to CD Projekt, the guys behind The Witcher series. They refused to conform to using DRM, despite how many times The Witcher 2 was pirated, and they insisted on an initial exclusive PC release in a development world that’s consistently flying the multiplatform flag. They’re making an Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2, and excitement ensues after the jump.

Talk about a diamond cutter...

You may have noticed that I resisted using the word ‘port’, as it really seems like the CD Projekt team is going the extra distance to ensure that there’s something unique for anyone buying this game on Xbox 360. What sort of unique stuff, you ask? How about, a new intro, more than 30 minutes of cutscenes and other assorted coolness that adds up to a total of around four hours of new content. Pretty cool, if you ask me.

But one of the coolest reasons to check this bad boy out when it ships in April is the video below. Even if you’ve played the PC version, this trailer got my creative juices flowing. The future of narrative in games is uber exciting, and this video goes a long way to proving it. Don’t forget to collect your jaw off the ground after it’s finished.

What an epic trailer! I’m glad my console exclusive pals get to play this beast of a game.

Also, that guy just kinda explodes when hit with the fire. Total awesome.
