Review: Gears of War 3: RAAM’s Shadow

It’s been a long time coming, but gamers finally get a decent chunk of campaign love in this five chapter prequel starring a hodge-podge of eclectic characters from the Gears of War universe, an opportunity to play as one of the most intimidating bosses in video games and a slew of unlockable skins of all varieties to boot. Yep, Xmas has come early and Epic Games is giving you the goodies.

It's Hammer (of Dawn) Time!

Naughtiness or niceness doesn’t enter the equation, just grab a chainsaw Lancer and start decking the halls with the wretched corpses of Wretches and Corpsers. It’s going to be a bloody red Christmas.

“You’ll be back battling a mish-mash of Locust from all three Gears of War releases. Emergence holes make a return bringing with them a significantly lower grenade count to balance out the lack of Lambent. Berserkers get a look in, as do Seeders, Tickers, Wretches, Elite Theron Guards and even Serapedes. The balance is just right, though non-Lambent Wretches fall in droves before the might of a readied chainsaw Lancer.”
