DLC-Crew: 2011 Leaderboard winner announced

Well its been a hard slog this year, with the game of choice for the DLC-Crew between Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Killzone 3 and back again, but one gamer’s dedication to Saturday Night Smackdown, near legendary sniping skills and never say die attitude reigned supreme. It is with great pleasure we announce the winner of the DLC-Crew’s 2011 Leaderboard competition is…

Consistently turning up each month and raining death from above comes Sidawg, the clear winner, followed by Adin in second with the ineligible Snake snapping at his heels, closely trailed by Moops who picks up third prize… derp derp!

Delving deep into my personal treasure trove of gaming goodness (as the accompanying pictures show) Sidawg’s prize pack included: Call of Duty: Black Ops prestige edition and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 prestige edition, Splatterhouse (coffin packaging with shirt & picture), Motorstorm Apocalypse, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, Rugby World Cup 2011, F.E.A.R. 3, Dancestar Party, Homefront, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, SOCOM: Special Forces (in water drop bag with maps), Duke Nukem Forever cap and utility belt, Assassins Creed 2 bonus DVD and art book, Mass Effect 2 collector’s edition art book, Deus Ex: Human Revolution beanie with built-in headphones, Gears of War 3 t-shirt, NBA 2K12 t-shirt and lastly an id Software t-shirt.

Damn! All this for simply showing up a dozen times for a couple of hours each month and kicking arse.

As runners up, we didn’t want Adin and Moops to go home empty handed, with Adin scoring copies of Mafia II, EyePet & Friends, Carnival Island and Medieval Moves and Moops grabbing Dragonball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, a Battlefield 3 canteen and an Ace Combat: Assault Horizon t-shirt.

For a full breakdown of scores head on over to the official DLC-Crew page found here…

Next year will mark a more hands on approach with the Saturday Night Smackdown (also known as the Leaderboard comps), with myself and the guys over here playing a more prominent role in the structure, with more prizes offered on a regular basis. We really want to mix it up so it doesn’t only favour FPS fanatics.

This is in no way a reflection on Snake’s near superhuman effort to make sure the game nights were sorted every month ticking over like clockwork. We like to thank him for his tireless efforts and made sure to sling him a little thank you prize to boot.

We look forward to seeing you guys next year and if you want to be part of it, you MUST be a member of the DLC-Crew to play, so make sure you join up by clicking the link here. Till then, keep those itchy trigger fingers warmed up and it might be you taking home a bunch of swag.

Chur, thanks guys for getting it all together.

Thanks everyone who turned up, I’d like to thank …. *grabs hanky*

But seriously, games were fun, KZ3 games got a little frustrating but once we got back to Bad Company it was legendary.
