Review: Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One

This has been the season of firsts with the bumper release crop affording me the opportunity to play a slew of titles and franchises I’ve never had the pleasure of before. Ratchet and Clank is one of those franchises. I’ve always considered myself and Jak and Daxter man, but the crazy gunplay, style and tone of Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One just struck a chord. You can consider me a convert now.

News team, assemble!

The balls to the wall action rocked, as did the necessary departures to  mix things up.

“It wasn’t all about jumping and blasting stuff either. Insomniac Games made sure to pepper the adventure with some absolutely necessary and welcome palate cleansers so that the gunplay always stays fresh. There are some pipe grinding sections, a memorable Moby Dick styled boss battle involving waterskiing while tethered to a helpful critter’s motorboat, piloting a spaceship through an asteroid field (never tell me the odds!) and jetpacks get a look in as well. ”
