PC Specs: Battlefield 3 – can you run it?

Hot on the heels of the fantastic news that the Battlefield 3 beta will be hitting next week (Tuesday the 27th for pre-orderers and Thursday the 29th for everyone else) comes the official announcement of the PC specs for the Frostbite 2-powered juggernaut. You’re going to have to jump over the break to see the proper breakdown, but you may need to start breaking the piggy bank (and everyone else’s in your household) if you intend on playing this in full settings. For everyone else, we’ve got the minimum specs for you, too.

    I can meet all of the recommended requirements, with the exception of the CPU. Should be able to run with everything maxed, but it won’t be completely smooth.

    I’ve got it all covered. Interestingly, I’m ‘only’ packing GTX 480s… but I did pluralise that deliberately. I’m hoping that I can chew this game up, despite the fact DICE has talked openly about how hard your rig will have to be to run it in full settings.
