News: Pre-order Fallout as Brink brings impending Doom

It’s no secret the love I have for Brink, especially after the hands-on at QuakeCon that I wish I could talk about (soon, dear readers, soon). It has given me a boner and I want to take it behind a building and make it pregnant… all sentiments I’ve passed on to Splash Damage head honcho Paul Wedgewood, but what can I say now? They keep upping the ante will cool new kit and interesting ideas, so why should their pre-order deals be any different? Usually a new skin or weapon evokes a yawn, but Brink’s has a little twist to it.

Now while local distributors have been Johnny Tight-Lips with which pre-order pack will be attached to each outlet, we did manage to get some succulent new screens of what’s on offer for your viewing delight. Each pack has exclusive clothing and tattoos, as well as Resistance or Security specific skins, and even unique weapons and I want them all!

The Psycho Pack contains:
·       Exclusive weapon: the “Caesar” Revolver
·       New attachments: The Resistance’s improved Soda Can Silencer and Security’s ArkTactical Silencer
·       Exclusive Resistance “The Grin” Combat Mask
·       Unique “Tortured Soul” body tattoo

The DOOM Pack contains:
·       Unique “Hellspawn” body tattoo
·       Exclusive UAC (Security) and Cacodemon (Resistance) customised skins for the Bulpdaun SMG
·       Exclusive UAC Marine Body Armour (Security) and Lost Soul Screaming Skull (Resistance) t-shirts
·       Exclusive UAC beanie cap (Security) and DOOM bandana (Resistance)

The Fallout Pack contains:
·       Unique Fallout Vault 101 body tattoo
·       Exclusive Vault 101 (Security) and Vault Boy (Resistance) customised skins for the CARB-9 SMG
·       Exclusive Fallout Vault 101 (Security) and Fallout New Vegas Vault Boy (Resistance) t-shirts
·       Exclusive Vault-Tec beanie cap (Security) and Fallout bandana (Resistance)

And last, but not least, the Spec Ops Pack contains:
·       Exclusive weapon: the “Hockler” Machine-Pistol
·       Exclusive “GreenEye” Combat Optical Scope
·       Exclusive Security “Sloani” Combat Mask
·       Unique Dogtag body tattoo

Damn they all look good! I’ll be honest, I’m leaning towards Fallout and Doom, as the Fallout tats are off the hook and the Doom flaming tee is the dog’s bollocks! So what do you guys think? Which pack floats your boat?

The Doom and Fallout packs are pretty great and will no doubt be the favourites, but the Psycho pack looks rather similar to Scarecrow of the Batman universe. This I think could make a few sales.

I’ll probably go fallout, but doom or psycho would be my next pick.
