News: New maps for Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Hot on the heels of Activision’s grab for more money with the Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Map Pack comes DICE, as they release their third map pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It will be landing Tuesday, the 8th of June for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (in America) .

DICE are adding the option for Squad Deathmatch to Nelson Bay and Squad Rush to Laguna Alta, though in all honesty it seems to be more of an updated ‘mode’ pack, than an actual ‘map’ pack.

Like the previous packs, if you picked up the game brand spanking new (or got lucky as a pre-owned purchaser) this map pack will be entirely free of charge! If not, you will have to pay $15/1200 Microsoft Points for the VIP Pass; but at least you will get the other two previously released packs as well.

PC owners can breathe a sigh of relief as it will be coming your way with the game’s next update, which is also free of charge.

i will never complain about free content but… if you showed me this video without telling me they were new maps, i couldn't have known, they look too much like the maps already released. I know the layout is different but not that different.

in summary, not excited but GG to them on delivering more content

They look like the current maps because they ARE the current maps.
